2021 Visiting Party and Society Packages

Your golf party can be assured of a warm welcome at this friendly community club. Our Directors and their team of staff along with all of the members are very proud of the course and clubhouse and hope that you enjoy your golf and our hospitality as much as we do.

Your Golf Day is extremely important to you and us, so we offer both standard packages and a bespoke service to ensure you get the day you need. A selection of our standard packages are shown below but if they are not suitable, just talk to us about your requirements and we will be happy to accommodate them, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, via email; secretary@rothburygolfclub.com or telephone: 01669 621271.

These package prices are for parties of 12 or more players. Prices for smaller parties and for other variations are available on request.

Course Status

Monday 29th March 2021 Onward - Following the Government announcement of easing of the National Lock-Down status; this COURSE will re-open from 9am on Monday 29th March 2021.

HAZARD WARNING: Please exercise CAUTION at the 13th hole due to water erosion to the river bank-side, please stay well clear, and observe warning notices.

The clubhouse and decking area remain closed and out of use.

We thank you for your co-operation at this time.

COVID-19 Policies & Procedures

At Rothbury Golf Club our priority is the wellbeing and safety of our Members, Guests and Employees during this time. We continue to monitor the evolving public health situation around COVID-19 and are committed to follow the latest directives provided by the relevant authorities. With the information available we will endeavour to provide the safest environment possible for us to deliver a golf experience that adheres to government and health regulations.

It is imperative that everyone abides by the protocols below. We must all become socially responsible for our actions and behaviour so Rothbury Golf Club can remain open for the enjoyment of all through these challenging times.

Rothbury Golf Club is open only to those without symptoms of COVID-19:

  • anyone with any symptoms of COVID-19 should not enter any part of the course or clubhouse
  • anyone from a household with someone with any symptoms of COVID-19 should not enter any part of the course or clubhouse
  • any person playing golf or accessing the clubhouse is required to provide their name and contact details as part of the Track and Trace process

Buggies

Buggies are available but at the user’s risk. We cannot guarantee that they are sanitised; hirers must bring with them their own means to sanitise the buggy before use

Buggies must be booked in advance

On the Course.

Maintain social distancing of 2 metres at ALL times; wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

  • Change shoes in the car park; only 2 persons at a time are allowed in locker rooms.
  • All players should only handle their own clubs from arrival to departure.
  • Play will commence on the 1st tee only and follow the normal circuit of play
  • Golfers should only pick their own ball up.
  • Handle your scorecard only.
  • Benches and Ball cleaners have either been removed or closed for use
  • Leave the flag in place while putting as ball lifters have been attached to each flag for easy retrieval.
  • Rakes have been removed. Smooth out the sand in the bunker with a club or your foot to the best of your ability.
  • No handshakes on 18th green and do not hand over money
  • Insist on physical distancing using the minimum 2 metre rule on tees, greens and while walking down the fairways and throughout the round.
  • Always follow signage and protocols provided to you by any of our employees.

Visiting Parties

The person making the reservation agrees  to take  responsibility for the actions of the group:

  • Ensuring everyone in the group is in good health before starting.
  • Booking the tee time, ensuring all players' names are reserved, and making any changes to the booking.
  • Checking in at the Clubhouse ensuring social distancing of 1 metre is observed at all times
  • Ensure the group tees off at their reserved time. Not before or after.
  • Ensuring that social distancing of 2 meters is adhered to on the course at all times between each other and other groups.

 Please note: Greenkeepers have priority at all times

 The Clubhouse

As a COVID secure venue RGC currently operates with  a limited capacity - 42 seated in the clubhouse and 20 seated  plus standing on the decking area.  Whilst still able to  host up to this number in  total, individually or in groups of up to 6,  people  must not mix or form  groups larger than 6.

This rule will not apply to individual households or support bubbles of more than 6

A one- way system is in operation within the Clubhouse and on the decking area; please enter through the main door and follow directional signage and practice social distancing of 1 metre.

  • The clubhouse is configured to ensure social distancing of 1 metre and provides seating for a maximum of 42; standing is not permitted within this area.
  • The decking seats a maximum of 20; standing is permitted in this area.
  • Service for drinks and food is at the Bar.
  • Please place /pay for and collect your order from the designated area.
  • Only 1 person at a time to approach the bar; no standing at the bar.
  • Queue markers at 1 metre to maintain social distancing
  • Only 2 persons at a time are allowed in toilets/ locker rooms.
  • Frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all areas has been increased, especially in areas of high use, such as locker rooms and door handles.
  • Hand sanitiser stations are provided in high traffic / communal areas e.g. entrance to clubhouse and locker rooms.

 Thank you for abiding by the protocols. We must all become socially responsible for our actions and behaviour so that Rothbury Golf Club can remain open for the enjoyment of all throughout these challenging times.
